He is surrounded by the stone and shadow of his subterranean sett, a keeper of ancient wisdom and timeless truths. Our final portrait from this world is of one such interloper. At first glance, he appears to be an aristocrat, dressed in an opulent blue jacket with gold embroidery and a fine waistcoat.
